India is the birth place of Chicken Tikka Masala and Curries. Indian foods are prepared with a blend of finely mixed spices quite popular across the region. The spices develop the rich taste in Indian food enough to boggle your mind. The Indians also brought their very own vibrant, colorful, and aromatic authentic dishes for the people in the West. While most of the Indian population is Vegetarian, Indian food is great for people who are looking for vegan or vegetarian food option. If you are a Meat lover, don't get disappointed yet. Always fantastic food . Great curry and prices . Handy location and wonderful staff. And this place supports local activities .

Enjoyed the breakfast, Espresso, chai, and a delicious Mediterranean quiche. Very light and flavorful. My sister had the challah french toast with cinnamon and ginger, and she loved it too. Nice little breakfast.

Bigger than expected, patio seating outside in the back. Good service. Great food, especially for vegan and vegetarian!

We stumbled across this place after walking out of another place that had less than desirable service, and am so glad they did, because we found this little gem. Service is wonderful and the food great. They have fresh warm scones that are scrumptious. We got to sit outside and the atmosphere was lovely with beautiful trees and flowers and relaxing music. My son loves it and we've been back 3 times since with the same lovely experience. The owner makes his way to greet all the guests and even your furry, four-footed friends are welcome and given a shaded place to relax with you outside with their own water bowl. Even though we don't have a dog, I love that about this place. It's customer service oriented, has good food at a decent price. What more could you ask for.

This is NOT a kid's friendly place. Just a heads-up for any parents out there. They do have a kid's menu (with a naan pizza, no less) but the seating arrangements are not awesome for small children. Curses. Our food was good, but very expensive. We had a seasonal curry with pearled couscous (the couscous was delicious) and a basil/creamy curry with rice. They were both good, but not spectacular. If I had known the prices before we'd gone, I'd have skipped our visit entirely. Service was very slow, though the waiter was friendly. The bathroom is kind of like stepping into a fortress of solitude and despair. It's painted dark blue and the light is horrible. Good luck actually finding the toilet. Also, the full-length mirror in the corner just about made me pee my pants. Good thing I was already in the bathroom.

I love this place the food is great. The only reason it's not 5 stars I bc the portions are a little small and the price is a little high.
(4)Scoop A.
If this was just a breakfast spot it would get five stars but for dinner you're out of your mind to eat here. There are zillions of better spots in Park CIty to spend your money where you actually feel full when you leave. We paid $50 (for two) tonight for three tiny dishes and had to go home and have dinner afterward. When the owner came by and asked how everything was I swear I wanted to tell him he just fed us overpriced appetizers. The Cafe itself is cozy and off the beaten path so reservations are unnecessary. You have two choices if you eat here- leave hungry or pay through the nose for average tasting Indian food. What's annoying is that the owners are completely unapologetic for bending you over. They smile when they tell you the single $8 veggie samosa appetizer is small and unshareable. The $17 Tikka came in a 6" tray with six tiny cubes of chicken breast and some sauce. IF you want Indian food make the drive to SLC and eat at the Himalayan Kitchen or House of Tibet.

Good Karma is off the beaten path, but if you want some tasty curry, this is the place to go. The menu has all your Indian favorites at prices that make it an easy choice. It's a lovely little place with good service. No, it's not the best tikka masala I've ever had, but all of the dishes are good, or better. What puts it into the four star range (aside from the prices, which make it an easy weekday "I don't want to cook choice") is the exuberance of the owner/chef. He obviously enjoys being a restauranteur and wants all of his guests to leave happy and full. If you want a restaurant that feels more family than tourist, find Good Karma.
(4)Brodi W.
When you want a place you can talk because it's not too loud, this tiny little bistro style restaurant has a great atmosphere, excellent service and best of all tasty food, really tasty food. I eat indian food all around the world and this was better than average, thus considering we are in Park City really tasty. I had the curry sampler... a great way to try a variety of dishes. I was even impressed with the lamb curry being, well pretty darn hot. What matters is... I'll go back. Plus really affordable for the quality of food, service and atmosphere.
(4)Faith S.
This is a breakfast review. The Challah French Toast in a cinnamon ginger batter with fresh berries was excellent. Just a little small but enough for a light breakfast. The bagel, on the other hand was pre-packaged and boring. (The bagel knocked this review down a whole star.) The coffee was an organic French blend that was fantastic. We ate outside and the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. The service was very good. We will be back again - no bagel this time.
(3)Sean C.
Fantastic food, fresh tasting, and great seasoning/spice. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Great spot for lunch or dinner.
(5)Wendy L.
What a YUMMY Challah French Toast! Mince came with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. Had the some cumin spiced pork patties with mint chutney and that was excellent too. Had some of my hubby's HUGE cup of chai. Coffee refills were frequent and service was attentive. Oh I see that they also udon and ramen too! Can't wait to come back and try those out too!
(4)Mark L.
Our hotel highly recommended Good Karma for Breakfast. We decided to give a try on Monday and the food are Divined. My mom ordered the French toast with maple syrup, ooh so good its mouth watering. My dad had tall stack pancake with berries and maple syrup. The best pancake I ever had in my life. I ordered the Wild salmon omelet..OMG! the cream cheese inside, it complement with the smoke salmon. The reason I gave only 3 stars, the food is excellent, cleanliness is very good but the service is just fair. Our server stay long chatting with other table. We want him to refill our coffees and bring my toast but we can't hold him. I ate already half of my omelet when my toast came.
(2)Robyn C.
The naan is excellent here. Service was good, but only because we were pretty much the only people in the restaurant. I am not sure how it is during busy traffic times like Sundance or something. My fiance and I shared the chicken tikka masala. It was either watered down or out of a jar, but at least it tasted healthier than other Indian restaurants that use heavy cream or coconut milk. Usually the chicken is cubed with the sauce and the rice come separate, but they put the chicken and the sauce over the rice, which is kind of strange and unusual. They also don't have peas pulav on their menu, which is a little disappointing. Our friends ordered the 3 curry Vegetarian Sampler. According to them it was excellent. The mushroom barley soup was also very good. I would rather have eaten a big bowl of the soup than the chicken tikka masala. Since it's the only Indian Restaurant in the area, we have no choice but to be back since we like Indian food ...
(2)Chris C.
I come in alone for lunch. The place is half empty, plenty of tables for two yet they ask me to sit at the little isolated bar in the front with the cold draft coming in? Customer service/car ZERO Stars. I walked out.
(1)Erica D.
Gluten free everything! The chef (and I'm assuming owner) is a GREAT guy who really understands gluten-free dining. HOWEVER, I wish I could say the same for some of the waitresses! The service is awful at times - it's really hit or miss. The first server was very informed about gluten-free menu items, while the other was not. Also, note that they serve breakfast items (which are very Americanized) until like 11 or 1pm (I can't remember, all I remember is that I wish I could have curry whenever I wanted it...) Their lunch/dinner menu is great. Quick and easy (and inexpensive for Park City) Persian/Indian food. Their breakfast menu wasn't anything to write home about. I had the Persian omelet and was impressed. Their masala chai is SO great though - it's a must have. Just make sure you find a knowledgeable server! Great place to stop by, especially for a reasonably priced GF meal at Sundance!

I was staying at the Park Regency next door and was soooo excited to see a Indian restaurant right next door. I did hear the front desk say they had fantastic breakfast. I was hoping for dinner and i knew I would do take out because I am the ONLY Indian food lover in my family. I called and ordered the chicken tiki masala to go. When i picked it up I was shocked that it was $17.00!!! WOW really. I thought it better be good. Well when I got home I found 2 chicken breast grilled with basmati rice and VERY LITTLE sauce. CRAP!!! Really....can't wait to get home to Namaste. I was so disappointed. But the breakfast reviews look really good.
(2)Marianne S.
Went here with a friend for a "quick" dinner, between hockey games (we had 3 hours). Everything was great, from the water (orange) to the main course. The restaurant smelled amazingly good:) The food, was delicious. I am gluten intolerant and they were very aware and accommodating. We had the butternut squash soup (wonderful) and I had the lamb curry. Will absolutely go back, over and over again. Almost forgot, I got steamed vegetables. Normally, at most places they are very plain and boring, not here,.. asparagus, perfect.

We have been looking for a good/solid Indian food restaurant in PC and unfortunately our search continues. We had dinner here and ordered the novratan korma, chicken tikka masala, plain naan and garlic naan. Everything seemed to lack that depth of flavor that good Indian food has. The chicken tikka masala was 2 chicken breasts (whole) with a spicy sauce served over rice. The naan was way too bready to be considered naan and there was discernible taste difference between the plain naan and the garlic. We wanted to really like this place and would have been ok with it if even just your average Indian place, but I'm sorry to say that wasn't the case.
(2)Bugs B.
I'm scared to write a negative review on Good Karma. A local recommended us to have breakfast at Good Karma as Park City hates brunch (it's very tough finding a restaurant offering breakfast). Good Karma is a cute, cozy Persian/ Indian restaurant that also serves the All-American breakfast.. . I ordered the Good Karma Frittata ( yelp.com/user_local_phot… ) ...and as you can see it's not a Frittata but an Omelet. I was disappointed that there were only (3) sausage pieces in the Frittata.. Their homemade scone was spongy. Their Chai Latte is pretty good. If you're craving breakfast and near the Marriot Park City Hotel area, dine here.
(3)Tracey E.
This is my favorite restaurant in Park City! I don't understand the negative reviews. I have gone every time I get to Park City for years now, usually once in summer and once during ski season. Food is consistently excellent. I usually get a curry sampler or the lamb kebabs. Baklava is to die for. Love the chai. I would call the service relaxed rather than slow. Prices are not cheap but not out of line for a resort town.
(5)Diamond D.
Awsome food and cozy, relaxed atmosphere for locals and visitors. Friendly staff, Great Service and family friendly atmosphere. But most of All I enjoy the quality food and variety on the menu. Its not just all about the best Indo-Persian cusine here in the Wasatch, its about eating with a healthy and nutritious lifestyle in mind. It appears the owner really knows his stuff about foods and how to mix and make the variety of dishes they serve. I am there everyday for great American Breakfast too as many locals including myself feel its the best in PC. We are lucky to have such good food, service and atmosphere here in PC as opposed to some of those big brand name joints around town. My favorite is the "Locals Breakfast" (although you dont have to be local to order it as its on the menu). Lots of food and big portions. The Chai is tasty and healthy too. Also the vegy bake is one of my favorites as is the tasty Quiche. Way to Go Houman, Keep rockin !!! Hope to be your best customer for a long time to come. Thanks for hleping to keep PC and me healthy. "Diamond Dave"

The food was exquisite! Don't understand the bad reviews. The samosa appetizer was a very modern take on the pastry. We had the nawabi share - 3 different curries & it was excellent. My girlfriend commented how she liked the lamb curry even though she does not normally like lamb. It was so much food we couldn't finish it. When we are back in Park City, Utah, we will definitely come back to Good Karma!
(5)Rhonda H.
This place is simply delicious. We had breakfast and ordered from the brunch menu. Its hard for me to pay $10 for breakfast, but it was so good and worth it. The service was top notch, they even put orange slices in the water pitcher. I had the tofu with potatoes and my husband has the breakfast burrito. It was worth the $$. Park City dining is generally expensive but if you are going to pay a lot you may as well have great food. I hope to go back soon for lunch or dinner.
(5)Ranger Q.
Ok its a neat little establishment and the staff was pleasant....but the food was very underwhelming. We left wondering what was for dinner. The portions are half size but the price sure was full. Left disappointed and hungry. Will not be going back there again.
(1)Josh M.
A great hidden gem! Went for dinner, which was so good we went back for breakfast. When we first walked in, it just wasn't that exciting, but the presentation of all the dishes in the full dining room convinced us this place was all about the food. For dinner we shared the lamb curry and seafood curry. Both fantastic and highly recommended. At the end of dinner the chef came out to check on us and sat for a few minutes to chat. It was late and the dining room had cleared out. He came back with his classical acoustic guitar and picked us a few great tunes ranging from mexican classical to Led Zepplin. A ton of fun. Breakfast - I has the huevos rancheros and we shared some pancakes. Best pancakes I remember having, which the server said they only use organic flour. My buddy had the Veggie Benedict. All fresh ingredients for sure. Raved about that too. Service was solid and everyone was super friendly. Highly recommend getting off Main Street for this special place.
(5)Darren B.
The 4 stars are for Breakfast only...can't comment on this place and their dinner options. We ate breakfast here two days in a row and the food was fantastic and everyone in our group loved it as well. The owner is extremely friendly and told us about the free concert up in The Canyons and seemed very interested in helping us have a good time while we were in Park City. We took him up on his offer and we had a blast.
(4)Conan N.
Big fan! the food is fantastic and the small dining room is quaint and comfortable. The service is fair, it takes some prying to get the details out of your server most of the time. And the wine list leaves much to be desired. BRING YOUR OWN WINE.
(4)J B.
A bland flavorless steak with a fancy Persian name and a good presentation is still a bland flavorless steak. The waitress was ditsy. I actually thought she was high. She seemed scatter-brained and didn't really know the menu. The service was slow. It took 20 minutes to actually come and take our order. This place thinks it's fancy but serves you food with paper napkins. The food is grossly overpriced. Only people lost in a blizzard should consider eating here. Avoid.
(1)Lauren T.
We were racing off to go skiing and so called our breakfast order in to this place. When we arrived our order was ready and they had a nice waiting area for me to hang out in while they got my food. The food was solid and definitely filled us up for the day.
(4)Bonnie C.
This was some of the worst Indian food I have ever had. I relize I may be spoiled because I lived in LA for a long time and was able to have some incredible Indian and Persian food. I wasn't expecting the BEST Indian food, but the owner is Persian so I thought it would be decent. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. The chicken was a basic breast that was probably grilled 3 days ago. It was served over rice with a sauce that was right out of a can (or jar). I went for lunch hoping there would be a lunch special or buffet...Nothing! The Chicken dish was $17!!!! For lunch! And, the service was so slow. I think the owner had his mother bussing tables. My advice...Skip this place
(1)Uro D.
Overpriced. And very average food. We travel extensively and know our food - this place might appeal to someone who has never had true Indian or Persian food. Maybe the breakfast is better since that is what the positive reviews seem to mention.
(1)Shannon S.
Food is runny and cold. Potatoes in samosa were old and found oily brush hairs in our naan. Best service in Park City by very knowledgable blonde!
(1)preston p.
Food is ok, but service is terrible. I stopped going here quite some time ago because of the service. It took forever to get anything, even when my wife and I were ALONE in the place. A friend recently told me that things had improved so we went back. He was wrong, nothing has changed. There were only two folks in the place when we arrived. It didn't matter. Had to walk to the kitchen and ask for menu. Then, after placing order, the wait began. How long does it take for a couple of scrambled eggs for crying out loud? When we were done, I had to go to the kitchen and ask someone to find the purported server so we could get the heck out of there. Unreal. However, the deal breaker was this. My wife asked for some salsa for her eggs. After three reminders a daub of salsa (a teaspoon would have held double the amount they provided) arrived. Then they had the nerve to put it on the bill. You've got to be kidding me. Trust me, NOTHING has changed. Don't bother.
(2)Charles B.
My wife & I tried Good Karma our first night in Park City. She ordered the Good Karma Chicken Curry, and I had the Chicken Tikka Masala. At $13 and $16 respectively, I was totally underwhelmed. My wife said that she did not enjoy her meal, and I thought mine felt like a chicken breast that I could have prepared on the grill at home. Not that great. I'd try something else in Park City!
(2)Jared A.
Great breakfast! They also offer gluten and vegetarian options and great drink deals starting at 11:30
(4)Mick S.
We have eaten here several times, dinner and breakfast, and it is always a good experience. The food is delicious, consistent and a good value. The service is friendly and prompt. Highly recommended
(5)Joel D.
I went here for dinner with a couple of friends on our first night in town. We showed up just as they were closing and they were kind enough to let us have a table. . . unfortunately that was the very last thing about our visit to good karma that was pleasant in any way whatsoever. The service was absurdly bad. I had to correct the waitress about a couple of things on the menu. . . apparently she didn't appreciate this because she took my menu from me while I was still in the middle of ordering so that I couldn't use it to correct her. Our food take a long time to come, even though there were only one or two other tables being served. Even after arriving, our order had been messed up and we had to wait another ten minutes to get our food. Bad service is one thing, but that alone would have dropped them down to just three stars. I rate this as a COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY mostly because of the awful quality of the food. Vegetable curry was a dish of nearly raw vegetables covered in watery flavorless curry. The chicken curry was similarly bland -- I didn't know that it was possible to make curry as boring and empty as this. Naan was clearly purchased at a grocery store -- it was "turned" into garlic naan by smearing it with raw pressed garlic from a jar. Utterly disappointing. This restaurant experience provided me with the LEAST value (in every sense) that I have ever gotten for my money at a restaurant.
(1)Laurie N.
Love Good Karma. It is always a great place for breakfast and the coffee is fantastic. The workers are always very friendly and inviting. Houman the owner/chef is my favorite!
(5)Sarah F.
The food was okay, but it was really only loosely Indian and the service is horrible. We called and the first thing we said was that we wanted an order for delivery. We then proceeded to make our order, somewhat unsure of what was on the menu since the online one wasn't working properly. The person on the phone was not very helpful, seemed very flustered when we wanted to add side orders, and then at the end of our call we found out that we had to call another number if we wanted it delivery. She seemed very annoyed with us despite the fact that we told her that at the beginning of the call and told us the number way too fast for us to write down before hanging up on us. Luckily we knew what the service was (Speedy Fernandez), but otherwise we probably would've not known where to call. Also, when calling the other service to redo our large order, we found out that some of the stuff she told us wasn't true, like the fact that they had Tandoori Chicken (the person from the delivery service called to confirm, and was told they did not). I actually enjoyed the naan, but it really wasn't anything resembling naan at all and was less than ideal for scooping up the food. The food wasn't bad, but don't go expecting actual Indian food or any semblance of good customer service.
(2)Saurabh D.
I was looking for a good Indian food place in Park City and came across the Good Karma. Despite the rave reviews, I decided to give it a try, as I didn't have much of an option either. We stepped in around 1730 hrs, and had to wait for 10 mins, and walk all the way to the kitchen to inquire if they were even open or not. The only server over there said she was busy and hence the delay. The ambiance of this place is terrible - seems like a small shop with tables set up outside the building, on the grass behind the facility as well. To my surprise, some local kids were playing in the same area! We started with the "organic" juice - pomegranate and mango, and the latter just seemed to be out of a tetra pack. The starter - Begumi Platter was a disaster, with cold egg plant served with some coleslaw, and "samosas" which were not even close to being Indian. The main course - "Chicken Tikka Masala" was under seasoned, the chicken seemed frozen and yet overcooked on the tandoor. We had to struggle even to cut it into pieces. All in all, we ended up paying more than $50, and I think even a $10 Indian buffet is more worth than the food at Good Karma. This is no where even close to being Indian food. So if you're looking for authentic, or even tasty Indian food, travel 24~25 miles to Salt Lake City, and trust me, it'll be worth it.
(1)Peggy E.
As a long time local, I have always loved this off of Main Street restaurant. The soup is always great-and the samosas are wonderful. They have changed their curry recipe. Bland to say the least. I think they use one sauce and at the last moment just add spice. My husband order a chicken tikka dish and I ordered lamb curry medium. Both dishes came out with the same sauce. I asked the server to add more spice. Change in chef? Not worth going back to find out.

Love the breakfast at Good Karma. Best pancakes and eggs in town. Cozy and friendly!
(5)Christine G.
This place is our favorite restaurant in the whole state of Utah! I must say, I don't know why this doesn't have 5 stars on yelp --- but it really should. I went there with 3 omnivores and 1 vegan and every single one of us loved this place! I highly recommend the veg samosas as an appetizer! I love the way they grill the outside. They don't soak them in oil or heavy dough - they are light and filled ~ It's awesome!!! Here's the description: Baked Vegetarian Samosa (inside: Curried Potato, Scallion, Mushroom, and Green Peas filled in Spring Roll Pastry.) We got it with the eggplant dip and the second time we went here we got the Begumi Platter ~ (that's the platter where you get a taste of ALL the delicious appetizers..including, the samosas and eggplant dip) Amazing! Their food is very fresh which tickles me to death ~ It's what I look for - I hate it when stuff is over-cooked till they lose all color - This stuff is just delicious! All our entrees were fab, but you cannot leave here without trying the Navratan Korma. ..or else you have not lived! As for ambiance A++ and service A++ too =) The first time we went there we had Shannon and were sad we didn't have her the 2nd time because she was so cool and personable and helpful with the menu,... but we were more than pleased when we were fortunate to have Blanca the 2nd time we went - Blanca was great too and helped with our wine choice! Thank you Good Karma for feeding us delicious food in the cozy cool and hip restaurant =)

I had brunch here last Sunday, and it rivals my favorite Chicago brunch spot. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was aMAzing. Best scone I've ever had in my life, and served next to a warm chai, it couldn't have been better. The only complaint that I have now is that I work most Sundays. I can't wait to try out their dinner menu!
(5)Carlos G.
I've been to Good Karma for both lunch and breakfast. For breakfast I've had the Vegetarian Benedict which was very yummy, for lunch I've had (more than once) the Shrimp Vindaloo, which is always delicious. To drink for breakfast I like the chai and for lunch the mango lasse is very tasty.
(5)Ryan L.
This place was AMAZING!! Wonderful service, atmosphere and most importantly food! It is a Indo-Persian restaurant- best of both worlds :) the chef is great & even played the guitar for us! We will definitely come back on our next trip to Park City!
(5)Meagan C.
This was an extremely disappointing experience. We ordered in Good Karma for dinner, and half the party proclaimed it the worst Indian food they had ever eaten. Delivery took over an hour on a Wednesday night. To start, the Tikka Marsala container was only half full when we opened it. Two others (out of 6 total) were also not full upon opening, One of the lamb curry containers had a badly cracked lid (it did not appear possible during transport). We received only two containers of rice for 6 orders of different curry variations. The naan was not naan. It was more like spongy bread with fake grill marks. And our $3 order of garlic naan included only two half slices, which were the same as the plain naan with the exception of minced garlic sprinkled on top. The only thing with any flavor was the lamb curry, and the lamb itself was a questionable piece of meat at best. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.
(1)D T.
I wish we had read the reviews on Yelp before selecting this place for lunch. The food was just terrible - dry, flavorless, completely tasteless, and not even remotely close to Indian. We ordered three dishes for the table and all were equally inedible. I can't believe we paid $90 for food we barely touched.
(1)Ponsi S.
I have thought more than twice...what they serve in here is a disgrace to Indian food. Eight of us went in here, initially they seemed friendly, later when we started ordering the waitress was rude and was commenting on how little we ordered. The food was ...aweful...the worst food i've ever had. i think these guys should be closed to prevent people getting wrong idea of indian food. The pricing of the dishes were a pure loot. Very expensive and very low quality added that to bad service and added with compulsory 18% gratuity...i am sure if they do not add that compulsorily no one will ever give a tip....
(1)Kurt W.
I wanted this place to be amazing since I love Indian food. The service was stellar. The place is a nice place to visit. Naan was good. Soups were interesting. I didn't love the almost pico de gallo vindaloo that was more curry than I hve had in my many vindaloo experiences. This saddened me. My wife enjoyed her meal. I would go again to try it again because the owner was so pleasant and the service so good. I hope I enjoy my main dish more this next time.
(3)Stephanie P.
We went here for dinner our first night in Park City. My husband and I are pretty spoiled with good Indian cuisine back home, so our standards are high. We enjoyed the meal and thought the service was great- extremely attentive and friendly. the food, however, just wasn't that thrilling. Our apps were alright; the baked samosas were interesting and the eggplant dip was good, but the main courses were a bit of a disappointment. We ordered the 3 curry sampler and felt the portions were small and flavors bland. Even for park city, the prices were extremely high for what we got.
(2)john k.
This food is awful, overpriced, an the worst "indian" we have ever had. The tika masala was grilled, had no spices, and came with no sauce. The "naan" was toasted panini bread.
(1)Anne M.
Great choice for vegetarians. We went to this restaurant for an early dinner after cross country skiing and loved it! Three of us shared the vegetarian family platter, and my sister had the salmon parsi. It was all excellent and we will always make sure to go there whenever we come to Utah. The owner was very friendly, and the service was great, even though we were a little early for dinner. Parking is also convenient since its in the Prospector Square shopping center.
(5)Bar W.
Everyone in our group got something different and it was all delicious. The curry got rave reviews. The Tandoori Salmon Salad I had was spot on. Very laid back, casual. Friendly service. Would eat here again when in town.
(4)Kenneth G.
We started coming here about a month ago and we have been coming multiple times a week. Staff is friendly and attentive, patio is nice and open and dog friendly. The eggs Marsala is what I always get for breakfast just add a side of their homemade sausage and it's heavenly. This is a traditional Indian restaurant with American influences. Really good highly recommend it if you like good Indian food.

Good Karma is one of the best places in Park City for breakfast (a ski town oddly lacking in good breakfast spots), but we had never eaten dinner here before. This ski season, we rectified that with a visit for dinner, and we were very impressed with the food! It is not anything spectacular or out of the ordinary, but it is very good quality, tasty Indian food (they call it Indo/Persian, but I didn't see much of what I would call Persian on the menu), and it was also a nice change of pace after the standard mountain fare. We started with their samosas, which were crispy and since they are baked, not at all greasy. For dinner, we had the Madras beef curry and the lamb curry. Both were very good, and very different. We also had their chicken kebab, which was fine if not particularly noteworthy. And we tried the eggplant, which was perhaps the highlight of the whole meal. As always, service was very good too. Their waiters are always attentive and delightful.

This review would get 2 stars except that the service is very good, the ambiance is very good and it's the only Indian food around for 45 minutes. 1) Food is prepared in an above average fashion (tender, good quality meat) but Flavor is lacking in my opinion of great indian / persian food. 2) Expensive - Not crazy expensive but enough so that I don't feel the value. ****Kiss of Death***** I would be very surprised to learn that the Naan is made on site. Freshly baked naan is a standard for Indian restaurants but the difference between properly cooked Naan and what is served at this restaurant is night and day. I noticed that many people have brought this up in the comments and its an infuriating shame that the owners/chefs haven't amended this issue. This keeps me from wanting to come back. When I think of what I crave of indian flavors, the side of naan to accompany and soak up the curry is quintessential!

On yelp & the more info it says this place is open 8-9 from Wed-Sun. Then we drove miles to get here. I go in & they say oh we are closed!!! No sorry. No explanation. Nothing. Dear Blanca, thnx for responding. I revisited ur yelp page for smart phone again & searched the more info again & that s not mentioned. Plus on the first page it says open in red font!!! Superb! My wife and I fancy ourselves as connoisseurs of good Indian food and we were taken with how delicious everything was that we ordered. There are many vegan and vegetarian options in addition to a wide selection of curries. The service was outstanding!
(5)Shawn G.
Awesome atmosphere, the huevos rancheros were amazing and the service was impeccable!

If you're like me and expect traditional Persian/Indian cuisine at a location that claims they serve it, then you'd be disappointed to see that the naan is not traditional naan, it's the kind you buy at the store and put in the oven. That's not naan. You would also expect a curry dish to be just that, not a bowl with rice, steamed vegetables and a bit of curry in there, causing all the curry to be absorbed by the rice (basmati rice was overcooked). The food overall was bland, the tofu vindaloo was definitely not worth $16 in my opinion. Then again, I'm used to traditional Indian and Persian food, not made to appease American palates, but made to showcase the real food and culture of those regions. This place I feel caters to those who don't know better. There are no traditional spicy chutneys available on the table, I ordered a cilantro, pepper chutney, which was bland. The service was attentive and the location is nice and quaint however why don't they play Indian/Persian music instead of mainstream top 40. 3 stars is all you get from me.
(3)Allison H.
Had a really great experience at this restaurant. The vegetable samosas were delicious as was the rest of the sampler (although I would suggest having at least four people if you're going to order it). Our tofu vindaloo was delicious and not too spicy, and the waitress was extremely accommodating of our friends request to bring him steamed vegetables with tikka masala sauce rather than rice with his veggie kabob (which was also delicious). I would definitely come back!

Authentic awesome to die for Indian and Persian cuisine. We love Good Karma. Excellent service Lovely outdoor service Friendly staff See the owner on Food Network Sunday June 26.

Delicious. Keep imagining the breakfast that was devoured many mornings ago. Have recomended this place to plenty of friends, especially my vegan and vegetarian pals who swoon over anything that doesn't lack flavor because you took out some animal products. So flavorful with aromas that make you want to just melt. The tofu and vegetables were cooked perfectly, with a hint of spice that was easily tamed with their organic coffee. Reasonably priced for the location compared to plenty of other places I have tried in the area. Definitely the best tasting compared to the prices I have experienced with my recent adventures in Park City Land. The pictures express more than a thousand words that I can message through a keyboard. I hope to post more when I am able to taste their dinner and lunch items.
(4)David K.
Just okay. The mango lassi tasted like cheap yogurt. The flatbread just came out of a bag and seemed like what you might purchase at Costco - no Naan bread. It is supposed to be Indo-Persian, so they don't have as many options as your usual Indian restaurant.
(2)One Smart Guy -.
The ambience is just phenomenal.. The outdoor seating is the best i have ever seen.. I am originally from india. I was in town for business. This is the ONLY indian restaurant in park city. Food is great..
(5)Lee G.
Very good (not great) food, but sssllllooooooowwww service... 45 minutes to get all four drinks to the table. They came one at a time, one every 10 minutes or so.
(3)Sarah S.
Horrible food. Overpriced menu. Boring ambience. Mediocre service. Chicken curry: Stale meat, no flavor, no spice. No soul, no depth. Misleading organic chicken description. It tasted worse than generic gmo. It was the worst curry I have ever had. Low quality basmati rice. If you're Indian or Middle eastern, don't bother. This restaurant will leave you very disappointed. Never again. I felt like I threw my money away. Curry is served with rice in the same bowl. The naan (pita bread) is small. Not complaining on that front though since I hated the food anyway and left most of it. The portions are ridiculously small. They have been getting bad reviews on yelp since 2011. I am amazed this restaurant still exists. Five stars for getting away with making complete fools out of your customers.

Breakfast. Bacon. Eggs. Challah French toast. Real maple syrup. Friendly service. Nice local owners.
(5)Helen C.
Was a little challenging to find this off the beaten path place for breakfast But MAN was it worth it. It's small. It's charming. The service was impeccable. Looking over you could see into the kitchen. You know your meal is going to be good when the chef and his assistants are smiling. We had a delightful breakfast. I now have a new addiction. We asked for some hot sauce for our eggs. They brought out a green chili chutney that is over the moon. They sell it under the Instant Karma brand. I'm so glad we can buy this direct from the restaurant, at the Park City farmers market and at some local markets. My husband and myself are now anxious to give dinner a try. This is a GEM!

There is so much good to say about Good Karma, where do I begin? Let's start with the basics. The proprietors, Houman and Blanca, like many Park Cityites, are transplants to the area, from Iran and Mexico respectively. Houman is the genius creative chef and Blanca the effervescent maitre d', and usually one or the other will greet you. For lunch and dinner, you really can't go wrong. The menu is open to your whim. I highly recommend the lamb and chicken masala curry plates with the garlic naan. We had these two curries and a couple of others, ending up sharing them among our group of five to the delight of everyone. If dinner wasn't exquisite enough, the secret to Good Karma is the dessert menu. Houman began his career as a gourmet pastry chef and his desserts alone are worth the trip. We ordered the lava cake and the dessert sampler, which presented a problem. We could not decide which dessert was the best. They were all so delicious and compelling that we finally agreed there was no clear-cut winner. To be completely honest, we were the winners and plan to return again soon. One final note: Good Karma offers a great breakfast menu that belies the beauty and creative flavors of the dinner menu. If the breakfast, dinner and desserts are not enough, you can always walk away with a basket full of meals. Good Karma also fronts for its sister business, Instant Karma, which sells ready-to-eat Indo/Persian food that includes chutneys, hummus, naan, and a variety of curries. We left with a stuffed grocery bag of Instant Karma delight that we enjoyed for a week.
(5)Alison G.
Brown rice is now an option. I always love their vegetarian curry of the day. Their samosas are outstanding. No breading at all and didn't make my stomach hurt.
(4)Edward B.
Good Karma is right! From the people to the food you'll come out of their feeling more positive then you have all trip. Alfredo took such good care of us the service can make all the difference and he sure did. Thanks we'll be back on the next trip around
(5)Kurt J.
We had vegetarian Eggs Benedict, Mediterranean Quiche, pancake, bacon and fruit. Pancake under cooked but they cheerfully corrected the problem. Food was great!
(5)Chris P.
One of our favorite restaurants in Park City. Incredible food with friendly attentive service . Had the Joojeh kebab & curry chicken, both amazing.
(5)Chris B.
We chose this place for breakfast because of Yelp reviews and because we wanted something different than traditional American fare. What a great choice! I had the Persian omlette, which was delicious. Others in our party raved about the Challah French Toast. Our server Cooper was very nice, we couldn't have asked for a better last breakfast in Park City before heading home!
(5)Mallory N.
I was in Park City skiing two months ago and on our last day, my best friend and I discovered this local, magical, gem of an Indian restaurant. The food was insanely good. And the dish presentation was even better. We slipped in right before they closed at lunch so we didn't really get a feel of the vibes, but the food was delicious. I was very impressed, and ordered extra bags of their naan to go, because it was that amazing. My Vegan friend ordered this amazing curry dish, (yes, they're Vegan-friendly!), and I ordered spicy chicken pita wraps with hummus and a coleslaw-like blend. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Also they have mimosas that are served in nice glassware, and the table arrangements are beautifully done. Good Karma is hidden away by the locals so you gotta scope 'em out, but the moderate prices/awkward serving hours are totally worth it.
(4)Arni C.
Incredible. All from locally grown farms. The lamb curry and the tofu vindaloo were some of the best dishes I have ever had. The service was great and Alfredo was a great and attentive waiter. Finished off with a delicious chai. I would give 6 stars if I could!
(5)Scott H.
We have been coming here for years for breakfast. Although they have Indian cuisine, we always order traditional American breakfast items. It is casual, relaxing and consistent. The food quality is excellent and everything is made from scratch. I can't comment on lunch or dinner or the ethnicity of the Indian cuisine.
(5)Michael C.
Good food, one of my partner's favorite restaurants. I miss the big cups of chai, was always a fav. The eggs Benedict is good.
(4)Mitch M.
My girlfriend and I were having lunch and a few drinks at Park City and the bartender recommended this place. It's fantastic. If you are staying at the Marriott it is a short walk. The service was phenomenal, the food came out quickly yet not rushed and it tasted great. The signature dish is their Lamb Curry, and I can see why. I highly recommend it. My girlfriend had a chicken curry dish which was also excellent. Go with the garlic naan if given the choice. Also, the green curry martini may sound strange but I found it quite enjoyable. Great service coupled with great food makes this place a must. Off the beaten path, average ambience but more than worth it for the food and service.
(5)Judge S.
Stopped in for breakfast to go and ordered the quiche and huevos rancheros. Both were delicious and there is a cozy waiting area just inside the door. Had reservations about trying an Indo-Persian take on breakfast standards but now all my reservations will be made over the phone. BOOM!
(5)Shannon L.
Our first visit to Good Karma was for Indian Food. I have to say I was disappointed. Not that the food wasn't good, it just wasn't what we expected for "Indian" Food. We're use to traditional Indian Food...rich curries, Naan, etc. Here it's more of a Persian/Indian mix. The Chicken Tikka Masala was just "different". But the service was awesome and the ambiance is great. Our second visit was at the recommendation of a friend for breakfast. I was a bit skeptical but we ventured in on a Sunday morning. The place was empty so I was even more skeptical. But holy cow, was it AWESOME!!! I'm vegetarian so I had their mixed vegetable breakfast. It was delicious. It was so good, my three year old was foregoing her adorable bunny rabbit pancake for my veggie dish. The chai was delicious. My husband got the Bombay Burrito and it was amazing...came with Vindaloo sauce (so yummy). We're excited to go back to try their Challah French Toast and about 20 other items they had on their breakfast menu. I also loved that they use all Grass Fed beef, lamb, etc. Although I'm vegetarian, my husband and my daughter aren't. They also use local produce and much of it is organic. Again, the service was awesome and we're definitely going back. I debated posting this review because I don't want too many people to know about it ;-)
(4)Jeff S.
The only thing that is better than the food is the incredible, personal and warm service here. The chef/owner takes regular laps through the restaurant and makes a point to check in with each table and the servers are wonderful. The sampler platter app is generous and delicious, we had the saag w butternut squash and lamb curry mains. Both the basmati and saffron rice were perfectly cooked and the garlic naan was wonderful. The chai was just right and the raita was 'raita-on' (ok, and with that pun I'm done) A+ on all fronts.
(5)Skyler S.
The most consistent and down to earth restaurant in Park City. It's simple and healthy. It outdoes 98% of the food establishments in the area.
(5)Launie R.
Great food, nice people, fair service. Let me first say we had a large group of people show up for breakfast and got seated quickly. The server was always nice and got most everything we ordered. However, a few items didn't get served, and almost none of us got and muffin, toast, or scone that came with our meal. The food was great. Everyone loved it and the fact that they got all or main dishes to us quickly was wonderful! Maybe they work better with smaller groups but I gata report on my experience!
(4)Willem G.
Best breakfast I've had in Utah! I highly recommend the Challah French Toast. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
(5)Gifford L.
I met the owner at a farmers market selling soups and naan as part of a supermarket line of foods. The sample I had was good and I was intrigued by the menu and concept. Also they seemed to emphasize quality and healthy ingredients so I figured it would be worth checking out. The location is good close to main street in Park City and easy to find. The atmosphere was nice with pillows on the bench seats in our booth. I ordered a Chicken dish which was served over vegetables and wife ordered shrimp skewers. Wife loved her shrimp and the kids meals were awesome. The flavor of the sauce on my chicken breast was wonderful and the presentation was looked great however the chicken breast was dry, tough and disappointing which is what made this experience 3 starts instead of 5.
(3)Renzo C.
This place is a hidden gem in Park City. The service is incredible and the food is amazing. Great Vegan options!!! If you are looking for a nice quiet candle lit dinner with extremely delicious food, this is the place to go!!!
(5)Andy M.
Great little hidden gem. The food was excellent, and their breakfast is a perfect mixture of traditional w/ an ethnic flair. Ask to sit on the back patio. Weekend brunch is served with a live musician, and the ambiance is very nice. Don't judge this diamond in the rough by its location! Highly recommended.
(4)Diane H.
We were greeted warmly as we entered the restaurant by the chef who was peeking out from a small window in the kitchen. We were seated in a cozy booth and Houman, the chef and owner came out to greet us. He recognized my dinner partner who has dined at Good Karma before but this was my first visit to the restaurant. We ordered the appetizer platter to share and were able to taste many of Good Karma's offerings. The baked vegetarian samosas and bademjan dip were delicious. For our entree we shared the seafood curry. The seafood was tender and flavorful, in fact, the server caught me licking sauce out of one of the mussel shells. Embarrassing but the sauce was so good! I will definitely visit Good Karma again. I just learned that they are open for breakfast and there are a few items that seemed like great weekend brunch items. Also, I can see myself ordering the appetizer platter to go to start off a weekend happy hour.

Awesome hidden gem! This restaurant was right near our hotel and was perfect for our first meal in Park City. The service was fantastic. The chef even checked on us to make sure we were happy with our food. We split the soup of the day which was a corn chowder of sorts. One of the best soups I have ever had! The Indian spices added to this corn chowder made it a fantastic combination of a curry and a soup. Definitely order this soup if they are serving it. My mother enjoyed her meal the most - the french toast. It was delicious. Everyone else was happy with their food too. I had the tofu tikka vindaloo. It was good, nice and spicy. Two others were starving after a long drive and weren't full enough after the meal. Make sure you ask for the flat bread if you are hungry.
(4)Rebecca J.
If there was an Indian equivalent of Denny's, this would be it. We ordered three entrees, an appetizer and two orders of garlic naan to be delivered. The Tikka masala was a decent portion, and the chicken was very dry. There were two orders of lamb curry. One was a decent portion, and the other consisted of just TWO small cubes of lamb, for $16. We called to ask about it and were told that this was their normal portion size they've been serving for years. If true then not sure how the're still in business. Make a mistake, fine, but own up to it and make amends. This was ridiculous. We also only received one order of the two orders of naan that we paid for. In addition we were told that our order would arrive in 45-60 minutes but it took at least twenty minutes longer. This could be forgiven if the food if good. Very disappointed.

I have been wanting to try Good Karma for some time now but never had a chance before today when I stopped in for lunch. I had the hummus and pita appetizer and the lamb kabob. Both were absolutely delicious. The orange slice in the water was refreshing. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. I will definitely eat here in the future.
(5)Erin S.
Love this place! Only been here for breakfast. Great atmosphere right before hitting the slopes! The food is excellent!
(5)Elf ..
I've eaten here numerous times and it has been very consistently awesome... then I ordered the Bollywood Breakfast Burrito w/breakfast potatoes and I was completely blown away. They have a side of Indian-spiced salsa something or another that comes with it. USE IT ALL. UNREAL. I could've eaten three just because they were so damn good.
(5)Janine F.
What a little gem. Absolutely delicious, friendly top-notch service in an Eastern setting. We have both eaten in and gotten take out, many times. And it never fails to please. We have not tried their breakfast yet, but keep hearing how wonderful it is.
(5)Lava G.
I can't recall last time I wrote a review. We visit Park City frequently and frankly, have never found a restaurant that was worth the expense. Crummy "Mexican" food, overpriced tough steaks and ribs seem to be Park City's specialty. I enjoy both Indian and Persian food and felt this was a great combination of both - taking the best and melding the flavors rather than having two separate menus. From the other reviews, it appears people either love or hate this place. I can't say I'm an Indian food gourmet, but have eaten in restaurants from San Francisco to New York and never had better. Not sure about the patrons who said they had to eat right after leaving because the portions were tiny. My jumbo shrimp appetizer would have matched the portions of an entire dish at other restaurants. My wife got the combo curry plate and I had to help her finish. I was starving after an all day mountain bike ride so ordered the lamb & chicken kebab platter for two - and could only eat about half. We took it back to the condo and made a tasty omelette with the leftovers the following morning. From the reviews and menu we would have loved to try the breakfast, but they were dark the morning we left. Maybe next time. We loved dining outdoors on the grass. Yes, its a shared common area, but the weather was great and added to the experience. The interior did seem a bit dark/cramped so we were glad we had the option. Visiting during the winter might be less pleasant. As stated by others, the chef and co-owner greets you and is very gracious. We also spoke with his wife about the breakfast menu - she was also very friendly and helpful. I gave it 5 stars because of the above, but I rounded up from 4.5 stars. Downsides? The price rating is misleading. A $ to $$ range isn't realistic, even for a restaurant at a destination resort. As I mentioned we did have two appetizers and the equivalent of a meal for 3, but it came to a bit over $80 - so I think $$ to $$$ would have been more accurate. The naan was - okay. I know I mentioned that the dishes are a little different from a traditional indian restaurant, but I prefer the traditional naan - theirs seemed more like a grilled pita. As mentioned by others, we weren't sure the restaurant was open when we arrived, even though it was about 15 min after their posted opening time. No one to greet or seat - after a few hellos we found the owner who seated us promptly. Anyway, we will definitely return and hope to try their breakfast as well.
(5)Andrew C.
Way overpriced for the quality and portions. Ir's clear they try hard with the plating. But, My meat was overcooked and bland (strange for a Persian/Indian place). Service was attentive though.
(2)Hokie F.
My lunch started out strong. I had potato corn chowder that was atasty blend of veggies, spices and homemade croutons. The winter vegetable red curry was a bit bland for a curry without much spice or heat. The naan bread came out with perfect grill marks but a tad too oily. Nice prompt service and a relaxing window seat to watch the snow...
(4)Elliot G.
Probably the best breakfast in town! although the competition isnt too stiff (whats up with breakfast in PC?) i still think this place is great. Bollywood burrito is incredible if you like vindaloo sauce. French toast, huevos rancheros and cumin suasage are also quite nice. good coffee, Fresh juice, and prices are not bad for pc. As for the dinner and lunch, i have never really been impressed. Veggie dishes and some of the curries are ok, but are overpriced and feel kind of thin/brothy for indian food. Kabobs are not so good, nor is the naan. Not a bad choice if your really craving indian, but not worth going out of your way for. Bottom line is the super nice staff and owners plus the really good breakfast at an honest price outweighs the sub par indian food.
(4)Michael P.
Ok, the reviews for this place are all over the place. I will say this place does have a unique taste. We had breakfast here. Everything we ordered was really good and the staff was really nice and friendly. Coffee was great and my daughter enjoyed her hot chocolate. Lol, I enjoyed a little myself. The restaurant is small but it was not to loud in there during breakfast. I would eat here again but I'm only here for 6 days and I have this thing about eating at as many places as I can during my trips. Go eat breakfast here. Worth the trip.
(4)D C.
Good Karma is hands down the best breakfast place in Park City... probably even SLC too- up there with Eggs in The City, Blue Plate, and The Park. I go for breakfast usually every Sunday sometimes more! I love the Persian Omelet and always get a side of the Coconut Curry Sauce. Their oatmeal is great, their gluten free granola is so good, and the vegetarian benedict is to die for. Honestly, everything I have had their is outstanding. Every server is so sweet and welcoming and will go out on a limb to make sure you are happy. DEFINITELY GO HERE WHEN IN PARK CITY! And the prices are awesome! If you want the best breakfast you have ever had, go to Good Karma! :)
(5)Lily D.
Wonderful food and welcoming service. Recently went here for the first time on our wedding anniversary and it was perfect. We arrived just a few minutes before closing time and our server was very accommodating and did not try to rush us. All of our dishes were amazing and the naan is the best I've had! Definitely recommend!
(5)Darryn T.
Ordered takeout over the phone. Though they assured us our order was as requested when we picked it up, it wasn't. This we discovered after we got home. They got one of the two entrees wrong and the naan was not garlic as requested. The regular naan they put in the bag was horrible, tasting like a near-flavorless cardboard. The Tofu Tikka Vindaloo we ordered was billed as "fiery." Not even close. Instead of the Beef Mushroom Curry we ordered they had another order of the Tofu Tikka Vindaloo. Finally, the samosas were soggy but kinda tasty. Even though the manager (owner?) I talked to after we got home offered us a ten dollar coupon if we were to go back within the next couple of days (???) we won't be going back.
(2)Sasha R.
Great for vegan and gluten free cuisine! They don't use cream or butter, just coconut milk and vegetable oil. They also have these great gluten free banana crackers. The salads and curries are both excellent, especially the curry. The only reason I left off a star was because it was a little pricy. But definitely worth it! Very accommodating and great service.
(4)Bar W.
Everyone in our group got something different and it was all delicious. The curry got rave reviews. The Tandoori Salmon Salad I had was spot on. Very laid back, casual. Friendly service. Would eat here again when in town.

Brown rice is now an option. I always love their vegetarian curry of the day. Their samosas are outstanding. No breading at all and didn't make my stomach hurt.

(5)Edward B.

(5)Stephanie F.
(1)Jake R.
(5)Matty C.
I love this place the food is great. The only reason it's not 5 stars I bc the portions are a little small and the price is a little high.
(4)Darryn T.
(4)Sheila R.
Always fantastic food . Great curry and prices . Handy location and wonderful staff. And this place supports local activities .
(4)Katie F.
Enjoyed the breakfast, Espresso, chai, and a delicious Mediterranean quiche. Very light and flavorful. My sister had the challah french toast with cinnamon and ginger, and she loved it too. Nice little breakfast.
(5)Tabatha S.
Bigger than expected, patio seating outside in the back. Good service. Great food, especially for vegan and vegetarian!
(5)Juli Andra F.
(5)Kris I.

(1)Rachel J.
(3)Joel D.

This place was AMAZING!! Wonderful service, atmosphere and most importantly food! It is a Indo-Persian restaurant- best of both worlds :) the chef is great & even played the guitar for us! We will definitely come back on our next trip to Park City!

This food is awful, overpriced, an the worst "indian" we have ever had. The tika masala was grilled, had no spices, and came with no sauce. The "naan" was toasted panini bread.

Ok its a neat little establishment and the staff was pleasant....but the food was very underwhelming. We left wondering what was for dinner. The portions are half size but the price sure was full. Left disappointed and hungry. Will not be going back there again.

Big fan! the food is fantastic and the small dining room is quaint and comfortable. The service is fair, it takes some prying to get the details out of your server most of the time. And the wine list leaves much to be desired. BRING YOUR OWN WINE.

Avoid.

We were racing off to go skiing and so called our breakfast order in to this place. When we arrived our order was ready and they had a nice waiting area for me to hang out in while they got my food. The food was solid and definitely filled us up for the day.

We have eaten here several times, dinner and breakfast, and it is always a good experience. The food is delicious, consistent and a good value. The service is friendly and prompt. Highly recommended
